For families from out of town or wanting to stay close to a child in critical care, there are two reasonably prices overnight accommodations across the street from CHEO. Ronald McDonald HouseRonald McDonald House provides a home away from home feel, where rooms are reserved for families of children undergoing complex treatment or procedures. These rooms require a referral from a social worker, nurse or other member of your health-care team. RotelRotel rooms provide a place to stay for any family members and friends visiting patients at CHEO. For reservation information, call 613-733-1412. |

Order food to your bedsideCHEO inpatients, emergency department patients, parents and caregivers can now place an online order for food right to the bedside, using the CBORD® Patient™ app! While staying at CHEO, you can download the app through the Apple iStore or Google Play and use it to place an order. Here’s what you’ll need to log-in:
Once logged in, you’ll be able to browse customized menu options that take into account a patient’s allergies and any recommendations from their doctor. It has a sauté station with made-to-order lunch dishes, a sandwich station and a grill, as well as Pizza Pizza products, Timothy's coffee and David's Tea. Oasis Café The Oasis Café is on Level 2, near the Main Entrance. It offers Mr. Sub and Pizza Pizza products, as well as Starbucks coffee. It is open every day from 7:30 am to 11 pm. |

Family lounges |

There are two family lounges available for families in need of a place to rest. Ronald McDonald Family Room 1Located on 5 West, this room is available to any family of children and youth who are inpatients or here for a clinic visit. Families can use the room to rest, make a phone call, do laundry, or simply find a change of scenery. There is also a shower available for those spending a few days at the hospital. Ronald McDonald Family Room 2This room is in near the Intensive Care units on Level 3. It is reserved for families with children and youth in intensive care. |

In order to keep patients and families connected with loved ones outside the hospital, CHEO makes wireless internet connectivity available free of charge. Simply open your laptop or mobile device and select “CHEO_Guest” from the list of networks. Then click “Connect.” Before doing so, please familiarize yourself with our terms of use. |

Gift shop |
||||
Our CHEO Tree House gift shop is on Level 2, by the Main Entrance of the hospital. Owned and operated by CHEO, all proceeds help support programs and services within the hospital. It offers a wide variety of gifts, magazines and novelty items, including toys, stuffed animals and personal hygiene items. The gift shop is open from 10 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday. Family members and friends can order a customized gift basket or special gift for a CHEO patient. Orders for gift baskets and general gifts can be placed by phoning 613-737-7600 x 2155. Our staff will be pleased to provide you with suggestions. Delivery to the room is within two hours of ordering. |

Multi-faith prayer room |
||||
The multi-faith prayer room can be found beside the surgery waiting room on Level 3. This room is a quiet, calm space to retreat to. Materials from different faiths are available within the room. Denominational services and non-denominational support is available to all patients, families, visitors and staff through the Spiritual Support Services department. A member of the Spiritual Support Services Team is on-call 24 hours a day and can be contacted through the hospital reception or any staff member on your child's unit. | ||||
ATMs |

There are two ATMs at CHEO. One is in the main lobby, and the other is near the Emergency Department. There are also change-making machines in the Rainbow Café. | ||||
Pay phones |
||||
Pay phones are available throughout the hospital, including the main and emergency entrances, and on most floors. There are no phones in patient rooms. Parent phones are located near the nurses' station and can be used free of charge to make local phone calls only. A TTY pay phone is located in the main entrance. The hospital also has two portable TTYs for patients and families. One is in the Emergency Department and the other can be found through the Audiology Clinic. |
