Ottawa-area hospitals are partnering with Ottawa Public Health (OPH) to lead a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Nepean Sportsplex on Saturday, December 18. The clinic will provide first, second and booster doses to those who are eligible, as well as vaccines for eligible children. Residents should continue to follow OPH on social media for availability updates, and pending capacity, can book appointments through the provincial booking system.
As they have throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals in the area are working together to help keep the community safe. COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective at reducing the risk of serious illness, hospitalization and death.
Together, we can dramatically increase the number of vaccinations we can offer each day to the entire community of Ottawa, hospital staff teams and their eligible loved ones.
Evidence shows that the booster dose creates a higher immune response than just two doses. By getting your booster dose, you are giving yourself the best possible protection against COVID-19 and protecting others around you at the same time.
