Unstoppable Emeric: using motivation and strength to fight cancer

Meet Emeric, a 15-year-old who refuses to let anything stop him.

Emeric has an incredible love for outdoor activities and sports. He was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare type of cancer after coming into CHEO with severe leg pain. An MRI revealed a large tumour in his pelvis. He immediately started an intense chemotherapy regime followed by radiation. Emeric’s aggressive cancer treatment also included surgery to remove the left portion of his pelvis, significantly affecting his mobility. As Emeric begins to move forward emotionally and physically, cancer has not dimmed his desire to build his strength back to a place where he can return to his favourite hobbies.
