CHEO School Authority is currently seeking applicants to apply to existing vacancies on their School Authority Board of Directors. For the last 65 years, CHEO School (formerly Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre School) has provided an optimal learning environment for kindergarten-aged students with physical, developmental and other complex needs. Motivated and eager applicants with experience in the areas of health, finance, social services, special education or a former parent of a child who has received rehabilitation and educational services from CHEO/CTC would be an asset to our organization. Knowledge of law, educational law in particular, would be an asset.
The successful applicant would apply to the Ontario Public Appointment Secretariat for screening with approval being provided by the Minister of Education. The term of office would be a minimum of four years with quarterly meetings from September to June of each year.
