Update: January 30, 2022
CHEO care and appointments are continuing to go ahead as scheduled this weekend and this upcoming week. CHEO remains open and is taking the necessary steps to ensure your access to our services if you need them. Please don’t delay seeking care if you feel you need it.
If you have an appointment and foresee travel difficulties, we encourage you to call your clinic on Monday morning to explore your care options. In some cases, virtual care may be an option.

OTTAWA – January 28, 2022 – Given the anticipated disruptions in traffic across Ottawa this weekend, CHEO and other Ottawa hospitals want to simply re-affirm that we are open for those who need our services and expertise, like always. We hope that people who need medical attention do not delay it.
In addition, all scheduled programming, clinics and appointments will continue as planned.
We also want to ensure our staff know how truly appreciated they are by hospital leadership and this community.
Thank you to all of our staff. We know it may be harder for you to get to work with traffic and other disruptions; we appreciate your commitment to our patients and families. To help understand the traffic situation, please consult the city’s Interactive Traffic Map (ottawa.ca)
