Parents are not visitors and are always welcome by their child’s side
OTTAWA, ON — CHEO has two distinct COVID-19 pandemic policies to keep everyone in our care safe: a parent/caregiver policy and a separate visitor policy. Both policies are essential because 71% of the children in our care are under age 12 and not eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine.
Visitors must be fully vaccinated, or they cannot enter CHEO at any of its locations.

Minister of Health issues order to transfer pediatric home care to CHEO

On September 7, 2021, the Honourable Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, issued an order under the Connecting Care Act, 2019, transferring local pediatric home care services and staff from Home and Community Care Support Services Champlain to CHEO, effective September 20, 2021.
