OTTAWA, Canada – March 24, 2022 – Researchers have found that receiving a COVID-19 vaccine during pregnancy does not lead to increases in the frequency of complications around the time of childbirth. The findings, which are published in JAMA, provide further assurances about the safety of mRNA vaccines for this particularly unique population.

Kids Come First Care Clinic and COVID-19 testing move to temporary new location at CHEO

Ottawa, Ontario, March 24, 2022 — The Kids Come First Care Clinic for COVID-19 has moved from the Brewer Arena to a temporary new location on CHEO’s main campus at 401 Smyth Road, Ottawa. COVID-19 testing for eligible children and youth has also moved from the Brewer Arena to CHEO.

CHEO dedicates accessibility funding to honour Kim McLeod

Ottawa — CHEO is establishing the Kim McLeod Accessibility Fund, an annual fund of $150,000 that honours the tireless advocate for families of children and youth with complex medical needs. The funds will be used to improve accessibility across CHEO, a pediatric health and research centre in Ottawa.
